Terry hails from Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and is a Colorado State University alumni, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in 1976. With a career kickstarting in 1980 as a retail Stockbroker in Denver, Terry gained over two decades of expertise in various investment markets, holding a Series 65 certification.

His pivotal realization about the complexities surrounding college application and planning came to light when his son, Trenton, embarked on his college journey. Witnessing families sacrifice their retirement savings for their children’s education sparked Terry’s mission to aid families in successfully navigating the intricacies of college planning without compromising their financial futures.

Through collaboration with Advanced College Planning, Terry specializes in guiding parents and students through the college planning process without disrupting their lifestyles and retirement objectives. Drawing from his recent experience in 2019 when Trenton enrolled at The University of Colorado, Terry emphasizes the importance of early planning and active engagement to alleviate the overwhelming nature of the college application process, making it affordable and stress-free.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Terry treasures spending time with his son Trenton, who is diligently working towards becoming a commercial pilot. An avid lover of the outdoors, Terry embraces Colorado’s mountainous offerings, relishing in activities such as camping, fishing, and riding his Harley, having retired from skiing. His cherished partner in both life and business, Paula Cleven, and their beloved Golden Retriever, Loki, complete Terry’s circle of joy.
