David, a 1981 University of Connecticut graduate, began his wealth management career in 1982 and founded Financial Security Planners in 1986, focusing on retirement planning for families and small businesses. In 1989, he earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) designation from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. In 1992, David and his wife Leslie established Advanced College Planning, providing comprehensive student services and tailored funding strategies to help students attend their dream colleges affordably. “At Advanced College Planning, we’re committed to helping students achieve their higher education goals without families paying a fortune,” David says. “Our aim is to guide families through the dizzying and daunting college planning process for the best outcomes.” He has been featured in “Real Simple” magazine, ABC Action News, and CBS Eyewitness News, and is a sought–after keynote speaker at financial forums on college planning topics.
David and Leslie live in Naples, Florida. They have two daughters, Julia and Amelia, and two dogs, Casper and Colby. David’s identical twin brother, Dan, also resides nearby. David frequently visits Connecticut to meet with staff, clients, family, and friends. In Florida, he enjoys working out, golfing, pickleball, and cycling. He is actively involved as a facilitator and Team Leader with Life Relaunch, a Christian–based retreat program fostering men’s faith. Starting this fall, David will teach “Creative Entrepreneurship” as an adjunct professor at Florida Gulf Coast University’s Daveler & Kauanui School of Entrepreneurship, eager to share his knowledge with young people. “This gives me the opportunity to give back what was so freely given to me,” he says.
